The Kigali International Peace Marathon is an Annual event organized by Rwanda Athletics Federation in partnership with Ministry of Sports, it was first held in 2005 under the patronage of His Excellence Paul KAGAME, President of the Republic of Rwanda. The 18th edition of 2023 will take place on 11 June 2023.
The event includes: the full marathon, half marathon and 10 kilometers Races usually known as “run for Peace”
The world athletics Labeled race has increased the prize money from $4,000 to $20,000 for the gold medalists in full marathon, and from $2,000 to $5,000 for gold medalist in Half Marathon.
Both categories Half and Full Marathon, men and women shall awards the first 8 finishers.
